Full moon November 23rd  is in Gemini, opposite the Sun, Jupiter and Mercury in Sagittarius and squaring Mars. This makes for a big, rather blustery, restless, perhaps slightly opinionated or impatient energy, which you might be feeling even now, in the lead up to the full moon.

On the upside, Sagittarius and its ruler Jupiter are all about big ideas, new perspectives, expansiveness, freedom and wonderful new visions for our lives. This sets the scene for the next year, as Jupiter has just moved into his own sign of Sagittarius. We’ll be exploring this more in the months to come.

For now, with Jupiter (our largest planet) being so close to the Sun and opposite the moon, it does suggest BIG energy, big emotions, possibly big weather / maybe more bush fires and big internal and external changes.

And…. we also have no less than 7 planetary bodies in mutable signs right now. Mutable energy can be adaptable, restless, changeable, confused, edgy or even unstable.   This is a good time to  explore different perspectives, spread our nets wider,  travel, learn and dream.  However, It’s not that greatest time for detail-orientated projects. If you have a task that requires a lot of focused energy, it would be optimal to leave it for a few days. If you do it now, you might get more irritated than normal and/or make mistakes. If you don’t have the option of postponing it for a bit,  just make sure you take regular breaks.

The best thing we can all do right now is to consciously and repeatedly take ourselves out of the drama and plant ourselves firmly in the role of the observer, focus on our breath and earth ourselves – Spending  time outside barefoot every day will help to ground this energy.

MERCURY RETROGRADE

Mercury has just turned retrograde  and will stay that way until 6 December.  The winged messenger is currently  square  Neptune, making for potentially unclear communications, both within  and outside of us.  As many of you know, Mercury Retrograde can and often does, coincide with disturbances or breakdowns in all forms of communication and conveyance.

SO, even if it feels like you don’t have the time, take a few moments to back up your ALL your data – across all your devices. Check your travel bookings twice or three times before you push the button and allow for extra time to get wherever you’re going. Check documents before you sign them and take ten deep breaths before you react verbally – to anything. It’s a good time to reflect, reassess, research & reduce information overload.

And … Don’t believe everything you think or hear at this time!

WAYS TO CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE

  • As a thought appears, see if you can step into the role of the observer and view it from a different perspective.
  • Before you say anything to anyone ( including yourself) you might ask if it’s actually true or necessary.
  • If you’re feeling scattered and battling to make a decision about something, you could try sitting  quietly and connecting with a “you” of a different age and asking what he/she would do in the situation you are faced with. Try it … it really does work. Ask the 5 year old you, the 14 year old you, the 90 year old you and see what comes up!
  • Or you could ask what somebody you respect would do. If it’s a money/business issue, you could ask what Richard Branson would do.  If its a spiritual issue, what a specific spiritual teacher’s  advice would be.
  • Or you could just ask  yourself what a wise person would do in this situation.

As soon as we do this, we are able to look at things from a different perspective, and we have access to different solutions to our problems.

“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change” Wayne Dyer

CONSULTATIONS

I am taking a break from consulting in December, but am booking now for January. Please get in touch with me if you’d like to set up a reading for the New Year.

LA LUNA LA FEMME MOON JOURNAL

As some of you might know, I am collaborating with two amazingly talented young women,  Keri Bainborough and Amy Keevy in producing a Monthly Moon Journal. We launched it in November and the feedback that we’re receiving is that it is helping to connect women to the magic of their natural rhythms and therefore themselves, whether or not they are still menstruating.

If you’re keen to learn more about setting new and full moon intentions, holding ceremony, journaling and creating ritual in your life – if you really want to get in touch with yourself as a woman,, head on over to the online shop  and purchase you December copy.  And please pop over and follow us on Instagram  Or like us on Facebook
