Full Moon March 31st

By Michelle McClunan

Hi everybody

This is a short update about the full moon in Libra on Saturday 31st March, the second full moon this month, which is known as a Blue Moon.

The potent full moon brings all relationships into focus and encourages us to look at where and how we mask our true selves, in order to please others and where we might project our anger or aggression (Aries) onto the people in our lives (Libra}

It also asks us to explore where our lives are out of balance, where we are experiencing a lack of peace or beauty (Libra) and what needs to be changed, in order for us to step into our true authentic power (Aries).  This full moon calls on us to be bold, but in a balanced, responsible way – to face the truth about ourselves, to sit with what’s going on and not run from it or numb it. It takes huge courage to be vulnerable and accountable.

Some words from Brene Brown “Courage is a heart word. The root of the word courage is cor – the Latin word for heart. In one of its earliest forms, the word courage meant “To speak one’s mind by telling all one’s heart.”

Over time, this definition has changed, and today, we typically associate courage with heroic and brave deeds. But in my opinion, this definition fails to recognize the inner strength and level of commitment required for us to actually speak honestly and openly about who we are and about our experiences — good and bad. Speaking from our hearts is what I think of as “ordinary courage.”

The other point is that having courage doesn’t mean that you don’t feel fear or anxiety. For me, it means to be bold in the face of it.

If you have been experiencing some rather hectic, sticky, frustrating or anxious energy over the past week or so, there are definitely  some astrological explanations and the full moon could intensify it a bit I’m afraid.

The ruler of Aries (Mars) is moving along very close to Saturn (in Capricorn) and on the day of the full moon, they will both be square the sun and the moon.

A Mars Saturn conjunction on its own,  is often referred to as the handbrake aspect. Energetically, Mars wants to go boldly forward, whereas Saturn reminds us of our responsibilities and duties and reigns us in. It can feel as if you’re going one step forward and one step backwards.   I’s a good time to weigh up our options, but possibly not that easy to make big decisions. This theme is intensified by Mercury still being Retrograde until 15th April. If you do need to make some big decisions, its probably best to wait until next week, when things have eased a bit.

Fortunately, there is a redeeming feature to this chart, to help us through. Venus, (the planet of love and Beauty) is well connected to Mars/Saturn and  is in her favourite sign of Taurus. She is gently urging us to step away from the decisions, the responsibilities, the deadlines and to rest and heal this weekend. Take some time out to self -nurture. Rest. Eat good food with good friends. Have a “news” detox/ break from the digital world. Go for a massage. Walk on the beach, make some art. Breathe. Meditate. Be gentle with yourself.

Any of these suggestions will help to bring you to the centre of the any chaos you might be feeling, where all is calm and peaceful and balanced.

WORKSHOPS IN APRIL

We’ll be exploring the theme of the Warrior Woman  in my April Workshops (sorry guys, this one’s for the ladies!) –  Saturday 21st   and the first 3 Wednesdays in April. They’re filling up really fast, so book soon if you’d like to join us.

WHATS IN STORE FOR THE NEXT TWELVE MONTHS?

With the sun just having entered Aries, we have officially started the new Astrological year. Its a good time for a birth chart update to see what’s in store for the next 12 months.

Much love to you all and wishing you all a blessed Easter.

In life, light, balance and boldness

Michelle
