New moon October in Libra

The upcoming New Moon in Libra on 9th October is more complex than usual Libran moons. Rather than being focussed merely on  establishing peace, balance and harmony, Madame da Luna requires us to go deeper and penetrate the mystery of our psyches.

This is due largely to Venus, the ruler of the New moon, turning retrograde in SCORPIO on 6th October for a full 40 days. The planet of love, relationships, money and all things valuable, only goes retrograde every 1.5 years or so and the last time she did so in Scorpio, was in October 2010.  This retrograde period will have links back to that time.

The first 20 days of her retrograde cycle is about going beneath the surface, finding what is there, processing and releasing what has served its time in our lives, in order to make room for the new.

Something that is not common knowledge is that halfway through her retrograde cycle when Venus reaches the same degree as the Sun (26th October) , she is closest to earth and this is when her new cycle begins.

We could see it as Venus revisited, Venus Rising, or even the Birth of Venus.

I see this as a potentially powerful heart opening event and one that could signal new beginnings in our relationships with ourselves, others, beauty, money, creativity – all those thing that are most valuable to us.

I explain and explore this more in my video

I am running a Metamorphosis – Birth of Venus Workshop on 27th and/0r 28th October to work with this theme.

If you would like to explore your personal  Venus more intimately, and find out where this retrograde season is playing out in your chart, this is the right time to book an appointment.
